Watch this video to take a look inside SNODE AD Series dumbbells (specifically AD28) and understand how they work. I discuss the design's strengths and weaknesses and take a closer look at each of the different mechanisms inside the dumbbell. I talk about how it compares to NÜOBELL's adjustable dumbbell, and what I think of its durability and repair-ability.
[Corrections: Throughout the video I use the terms screw and bolt interchangeably. Technically, they're all screws in this application. It's just my informal lingo.
At 35:35 I talk about the friction between metals and plastics. Those are just general observations. In reality, the friction between any two parts will depend on specific materials and conditions.]
Also, I accidentally filmed at a lower video quality this evening. Sucks, but I don't have the time to do it over.
