This package contains clips from multiple locations in order beginning with night shots in Newburgh, New York, afternoon and evening shots in Riverdale, Pompton Lakes, and Oakland New Jersey, then finally early afternoon shots from the I-80/I-280 corridor in Parsippany-Troy Hills, New Jersey.

In Newburgh, New York most cars were buried in deep snow along with other vehicles stuck in the deep snow. In addition to this, the snow was deep enough that police officers were having difficulty patrolling and we encountered one officer who needed some help with their vehicle getting stuck in the snow. The fire department responded to a vehicle fire near the 100 block of Gidney Avenue and arrived to find an engine compartment on fire which was quickly extinguished.

Further south down I-87 in northern New Jersey we documented extremely heavy snowfall with snowfall rates somewhere near 3” per hour at times which left residents no choice but to venture out in the worst of the storm and clear the deep snow from their driveways and sidewalks or risk not being able to get out of their homes.

Finally, in the Parsippany-Troy Hills area of New Jersey, travel along Interstate 80 was treacherous with numerous traffic collisions & vehicles stuck in the snow or abandoned altogether.
