Follow along to learn how to replace the AC compressor in a 2013 Ford expedition. Replacing the AC compressor should be almost identical for any Ford 4.6 or 5.4L engine models.
This video is long I created it to be a step by step instruction for those who want to attempt to replace the AC compressor themselves and save money. After watching this video you should have all the basic knowledge of the parts, tools, and techniques required to perform this job on your own and save some money from going to the dealership.
I saved about $800 by replacing the AC compressor myself.
Dealership quoted me $1200 to replace the compressor (Not including the diagnostics and AC recharge).
I was able to purchase all the parts necessary for this job for under $400.
Total time to remove the old AC compressor and install the new AC compressor was around 3 hours.
I do not cover the AC recharging in this video but I plan on making future video on how to recharge the AC system.
