They are incredibly delicious and flavorful with double chocolate chips and unsweetened cocoa powder. This recipe is ideal for beginners or can made with your children. The kids will absolutely love them for Snacks, Tiffin or even alongside their breakfast. It is also a favorite accompaniment for tea, chai or a birthday party.
You can use store bought chocolate bars in place of the choco chips to make this pastry.
I have shown how to make them in Katori/bowls on the gas stove. It can also be made eggless by substituting 1/4 cup milk in addition to the 1/2 cup mentioned. This will balance the liquid content of the batter and the yoghurt and baking soda already present in the recipe is adequate for binding and structure.

This recipe yields 12 muffins
1 cup yoghurt
1 egg (substitute with 1/4 cup additional milk)
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup flavorless oil
1 tsp Vanilla essence
1 cup sugar
2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/3 cup chocolate chips (optional)
