Is there such a thing as too much?

Sugar. Hero. Villain. A lot of mixed opinions out there. Absolutely essential for exercise, or something that is the root of a lot of health problems?

Professional triathletes like Gustvan Iden and Kristian Blummenfelt eat a lot of it, with Gustav consuming as many as 6 bottles of Maurten mix a day. A professional triathletes diet might look very different from the average person's diet.

That's a lot of sugar, and some people would clearly say that that is too much. But, is it as simple as that? In this video we go into it more detail, and how there may be other mechanisms at play that support the use of carbohydrates like glucose during exercise. A professional triathletes diet might look very different from the average person's diet and I want to break this down to explain whether there really is such a thing as too much.
