To celebrate its 20th Anniversary Season, the Heifetz Institute welcomed the Emerson String Quartet (Eugene Drucker & Philip Setzer, violins; Lawrence Dutton, viola; Paul Watkins, cello) as special guests for its opening Celebrity Series concert. Setzer and Dutton are longtime members of the Heifetz Institute faculty. Violist and fellow Heifetz faculty member Kim Kashkashian joined the Emersons for this festive finale to the concert in freshly-renovated (and filled to the rafters) Francis Auditorium, on the Mary Baldwin University campus:: The last movement of the String Quintet in G, Op. 111, by Johannes Brahms.
