Are you wondering how to install the Somfy motors battery wand to power your motorized blinds? You've come to the right place! This video will guide you step-by-step into installing and replacing your battery tube in just a few easy steps. There are two different ways you can install your battery tube; you can install the battery vertically or horizontally. Keep in mind that when you are deciding where to place your battery tube, that there must be adequate room to accomodate both the window covering and the battery tube. To install horizonatally, start by measuring the headrail, then move on to measuring the depth of your window opening. The window must be at least one inch deeper than your headrail dimension. Then you will need to place the battery clips six to eight inches apart on the same side of your window that the motor will be on. This is just one way to mount your battery tube! Each battery powered window covering will come with a reloadable battery tube, lithium batteries, mounting clips, screws, and bands. Before starting this project you will need a screwdriver and measuring tape. To install new batteries or uninstall old ones, unscrew the end caps, and insert the new batteries into the battery tube. Keep in mind to never mix new and old batteries, as this could damage the battery tube. This is a simple project that any new home improvisers can accomplish in just a few easy steps!
