The design and use of a small vineyard netting jig on the back of a tractor.
It allows vineyard nets to be both applied and removed and has a pivoting diagonal arm to ease feeding the net through the rings.
It is fully adjustable via the chain, which adjusts diagonal angle, and the telescopic insert for the rings.
The dimensions are set up for our vineyard with vine row spacing at 3 metres.

Utilising a tractor carry-all, the jig is made from RHS, flat and round bar steel as follows:

Safety frame: 40x40x3 mm RHS. 1.8 m wide x 1 m high
Vertical pole: 40x40x3 mm RHS. 2 m high
Diagonal pole: 40x40x3 mm RHS. 2.1 m long
Insert diagonal: 30x30x3 mm RHS. 1.5 m long
Rind linking bar: 30x30x3 mm RHS. 300 mm long
Rings: 10 mm round bar. 200 mm diameter
Chain: 6mm galvanised
Additional flat bar: 30 x 6
Main pivot bolt M20
Other bolts: M10
Total cost including paint, approx. $200
