Orange Madeleines | How to make orange Madeleines | French butter cake recipe

This recipe makes 16-18 madeleines.

Ingredients:
Unsalted butter -1/2 cup ( 115 g) melted and cooled
All purpose flour ( plain flour)-1 cup (130 g)
Baking powder -1 teaspoon
Salt-1/4 teaspoon
Sugar-3/4 cup (150g)
Orange zest-1&1/2 tablespoon
Honey -1 tablespoon
Egg-3 ( at room temperature)

Method:
1. Melt the butter. Let it cool.
2. Sift the flour, baking powder and salt. Keep aside.
3. whisk egg and sugar really well.
4. Add orange zest and honey and mix well.
4. Add the flour and mix gently until combined.
5. Add the butter and mix.
6. Refrigerate the batter for 30-60 minutes.
7. Grease the Madeline pan with butter. Make sure the pan is well greased.
8. After 30-60 minutes, take out the batter and fill in an piping bag ( optional), you can spoon the batter into the pan.
9. Preheat the oven at 200°C for 5-10.minutes.
10. After 10 minutes reduce the temperature to 180 C and bake for 12-15 minutes.
