Chicken Jalfrezi:
Ingredients:
Oil 1/2 cup
Capsicums (cubes) 3- 4
Onions (cubes) 2-3
Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
Boneless chicken (julienne) 300 gm
Red chili powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder ½ tsp
Black pepper (crushed) 1 tsp
Tomato ketchup 4 tbsp
Tomato puree 1 cup
Soy sauce 2 tbsp
All spice powder 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Tomatoes (deseeded and cubes) 1-2
Yogurt ½ cup
Rice to serve
Method:
In wok, add oil, capsicum and onion, sauté for a minute, set aside. In wok, add oil and ginger garlic paste and boneless chicken, sauté until it changes color. Add tomato ketchup, tomato puree red chili powder, turmeric powder and mix.
Add yogurt and cook. Then add all spice powder, salt, black pepper, soy sauce and mix well. Now add tomato, sautéed vegetables mix well. Serve hot with rice.
Crispy Onion Rings:
Ingredients:
Onions (cut into 1/4-inch slices) 2 large
All purpose flour 1 cup
Baking powder 1 teaspoon
Salt 1 teaspoon
Egg 1
Milk 1/4 cup
Bread crumbs 1 cup
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Chaat masala to sprinkle
Method:
Separate the onion slices into rings, and set aside. In a small bowl, stir together the flour, baking powder and salt. Dip the onion slices into the flour mixture until they are all coated; set aside. Whisk the egg and milk. Dip the floured rings into the batter to coat, and scoop the crumbs up over the ring to coat. Repeat with remaining rings. Deep fry the rings a few at a time for 2 to 3 minutes, or until golden brown. Sprinkle chaat masala and serve hot.
