PreSonus FaderPort DAW Controller Cubase Windows Install SetUp:
1) At the foot of this page, download the DLL for your version of Windows (32 bit or 64 bit I mean) https://support.presonus.com/hc/en-us...
DLL download link on presonus as of May 2018:

2) Move that .dll file to this directory:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Steinberg\Shared Components
(* location on your computer may differ - if it does - find the "Steinberg\Shared Components" folder)
3) Restart your PC
4) When going into Cubase Device/Studio Manager, you should now see the Faderport in the Add Device list. Add it and connect the MIDI ins and outs.
5) Click on the newly-added Faderport in the Device List and you should see this: (screenshot below). Find the User button in the table and click on the blank assign field - a list should pop up with all the possibilities. Assign away, click ok and it should work! It has for me.
You can now go on to assign the "user" input button to whatever function you like.
(*Problem usually occurs here: Add Device, and choose the Presonus Faderport. If you don't see the option for Presonus Faderport)
