Sharing easy beach theme miniature
Sharing easy beach theme miniature house No.9 with cute surfing boards, life buoy, and flip flops or thongs we called it in Australia.
In this beach house craft project, I did 3 kind of experimental things. This is my first craft project to use plaster or paris (POP) mixed with water and glue.
I thought I could replace my air dry clay with it but...it is a YES and NO kind of experience. I could make my cardboard house stiff and hard but the plaster dry too fast and didn't allow me time to mold it.
Second experiment was adding filler paste (kind of joint compound) on all cardboard surface directly. I am quite happy with it because I can make brick, stone and wood texture with it and it dried fast and hard.
The third experiment was to use cardboard ridges to make zinc roof impression. So, I don't use clay to make roof tiles or shingles this time. It works well and look perfect for my beach theme craft.
If you keep watching my video, you'll see that I only use air dry clay for windows, door and cute beach accessories. As for painting, I use wash and dry brush technique.
