As per the latest news, Chandigarh University has extended students' holiday from the 19th of September to the 24th. This is being seen as a move to calm the tempers of the students protesting the alleged MMS scandal that rocked the university and the city. Police have now arrested three people in the MMS scandal case and have dismissed the reports that intimate videos of over 60 women were circulated, as false and baseless.
"We're going home now because we are not feeling safe here. Till now we don't feel that we will get justice because they are not taking any steps against the accused. The students did not take back the protest and neither will they take it, today there will be a protest again.", says the hostel student.
