Bhavana Menon opens up on the Dileep Sexual Assault case for the first time I Barkha Dutt

Malayalam actress Bhavana Menon in conversation with Barkha Dutt at We The Women - The Global Townhall breaks her silence for the first time on the Dileep sexual assault case.

In 2017, Bhavana Menon was abducted and sexually assaulted by a group of men in a moving car. The alleged assault case involved actor Dileep as one of the accused. The actress narrates her experience from the start in February of 2017, the day her entire life was turned upside down. She recalls times she was denied work in the Malayalam film industry post the incident and also elaborates on how owning her story was cathartic.

Editors' Note: Since the matter is sub judice the actors' name was not taken during the course of the interview. His lawyers have denied the charge.
