WALKS IN HAMPSHIRE at TICHBORNE (SOUTH DOWNS NATIONAL PARK) (4K)

In this episode of my series “ Walks in Hampshire” I take a walk in & around the pretty village of Tichborne which is situated 2 miles South West of New Alresford inside the South Downs National Park. Once again I am accompanied by my Whippet, Logan.
I start my 6 mile circular walk with a look at St Andrews church (Church of England) which unusually has a Roman Catholic chapel inside – dedicated to the Tichborne family.
My route then takes me South West, initially along the Allan King Way (a long distance path) which allows me to enjoy some stunning views across the Itchen valley. I then head South through a magical bluebell wood, past some enchanting thatched cottages on the ridge of a hill before heading North to Sevington Farm. I then cross the River Itchen and head towards Tichborne House where I recount two amazing stories about the area – The Tichborne Dole and The Tichborne Claimant!
After passing Tichborne Park Cricket Ground, I cross the River Itchen again to follow the Itchen Way (another long distance path) back to the village.
I finish my walk with an exploration of the village including a look at The Tichborne Arms pub (closed due to a refurbishment).

I use a GOPRO HERO 7, 8 or 10 Black Action Camera (sometimes with a Gimbal) & a Rode microphone (either a “Shotgun” or a Rode Wireless Go) together with a Canon Powershot SX530 HS.
