This video records a visit
This video records a visit made by the Hong Kong Railway Society to the MTR Tseung Kwan O line and depot in June 2002 just before the line was opened on 18th August.
The party walked along the line from Tseung Kwan O Station to Hang Hau Station on the northern branch to Po Lam and then visited the depot at LOHAS Park terminus on the southern branch. 01.22 is the point where the Tseung Kwan O line divides.
At the depot newly arrived K Stock trains built by Mitsubishi of Japan and Hyundai Rotem of South Korea are seen alongside refurbished M Stock trains which were built by Metro Cammell when the system first opened in 1979.
A M Stock unit is seen going through the train wash.
In addition, three Brush battery/electric locomotives (nos. L58, L83, L84) are present.
