Hair pulling or Trichotillomania is one of the disorder that is classified under psychiatric disorders. How it manifests  is a person may  be increasingly  pulling out hair, either from the scalp,  eyebrows,  eyelashes  or  plucking out  of  skin from  the  finger tips  or  any other part of the body.  Mainly it refers to Hair-pulling disorder. Is it a disorder or  is   it a habit? It become a disorders if it is extreme in form. I have seen children who have had no eyebrows, eyelashes . So the child  starts  to develop bald  patches.
