Kaius the baby gorilla was rejected by his mother at birth and wasn’t expected to survive after developing an illness. Thanks to the care of zookeeper Chad Staples, Kaius has been making a recovery and is on track to find a surrogate. Angela Cox speaks with Chad and Kaius about the experience of raising a gorilla.
