Instant Oats Breakfast recipe that is easy to make yet healthy. Narrated in Kannada with English subtitles.

Ingredients:

Oats - 4 Tbsp (I used Quaker’s Oats)
Sugar - 1 Tbsp (One can use Honey instead of Sugar)
Water - 1/2 Cup
Milk - 1 Cup
Almonds - 3-4
Walnuts - 2
Black Raisins - 7-8
Dates - 2
Banana - 1 medium sized
Apple - 1/2

Method :

1. Cut all dry fruits like, Almond, Walnuts, Dates and keep aside. One can use Fig also. Black Raisins are added directly.

Method 1: Stove Method

1. In a bowl, add 4 Tbsp of Oats, add 1/2 Cup Water and 1/2 Cup Milk and mix once.

2. Transfer the mixture to the vessel and cook on medium flame for about 5 minutes or until Oats are cooked properly,  Oats take very less time to cook.

3. Add remaining 1/2 Cup Milk to the cooked Oats mixture and mix once. Add 1 Tbsp of Sugar and mix well until sugar dissolves. Now switch off the flame.

4. If using Honey instead of Sugar, add after the Oats are cooked, Do not add Honey while cooking the Oats.

Method 2: Microwave Method

1. In a microwave safe bowl, add 4 Tbsp of Oats. Add 1/2 Cup Water and 1/2 Cup Milk. Add 1 Tbsp of Sugar and mix it once.

2. Now in normal microwave mode, cook this mixture for a minute and remove from the oven and mix with the help of a spoon once. Repeat this i.e., place the mixture for a minute and remove and mix the Oats mixture. Repeat the process for 2 and half minutes to 3 minutes. While boiling Oats with milk in the oven it may overflow from the bowl so you need to mix once and continue cooking Oats mixture.

3. If using Honey instead of Sugar, add once the Oats are cooked, Do not add Honey while cooking the Oats.

Time to Garnish:

1. Meanwhile chop the fruits like, Apple and Banana. These two fruits should be cut freshly as they change their color very fast.  

2. Transfer Oats mixture to a serving bowl.  

3. Now add all the chopped fruits and dry fruits to the Oats mixture and mix once. One can serve it hot or warm. We love to eat this Oats Breakfast hot.
