NVIDIA Nsight Developer tools are a suite of high performance profilers and debuggers. At SIGGRAPH 2023, NVIDIA revealed updates to its GPU profiling tools that will help developers build performant applications on the cutting edge of graphics technology.

Real-Time Shader Profiler (Nsight Graphics 2023.3): Nsight Graphics introduces the Real-Time Shader Profiler, the world's first temporal sampling profiler for GPU shaders. Identify the most expensive shaders at each moment in your frame, view GPU performance metrics on the timeline, and seamlessly navigate to shader source code and source-level hot spots.

GPU Resource Migration Trace (Nsight Systems 2023.3): Nsight Systems introduces GPU Resource Migration Trace on Windows to eliminate memory overcommitment stutters and resource priority issues. You can visualize memory migrations alongside concurrent hardware and API activity on the unified timeline.

Event Markers (Nsight Aftermath SDK 2023.2): You can now Insert event markers into your code to trace exceptions in DirectX 12 or Vulkan applications. Event marker performance has been improved for use in shipping applications, providing more context in case of a GPU exception on an end user's system.

RT Core Throughput Metrics (Nsight Perf SDK 2023.2): Uncover frame spikes and bottlenecks with Nsight Perf SDK's real-time HUD for GPU performance monitoring. You can now collect performance metrics for RT Cores—the accelerator units on NVIDIA GPUs that power ray tracing.
