Understanding Asthma

As a part of the Creating Asthma Friendly Learning environments through Ryan’s Law (www.ontario.ca/laws/statute/15r03) and Policy/Program Memorandum 161 - Supporting Children and Students with Prevalent Medical Conditions (anaphylaxis, asthma, diabetes, and/or epilepsy) in Schools (www.edu.gov.on.ca/extra/eng/ppm/ppm161.pdf) this video, outlines the importance of schools becoming more aware about Asthma, as it is prevalent in society. In addition, it explains common asthma triggers, school triggers, and irritants, as well as what happens to a student during an asthma attack.
