Plank pose is the foundation for most arm balances and handstand. It is so commonly practiced in vinyasa yoga and even outside of yoga in other fitness areas but still often times done in an inefficient way that can even cause to injuries especially in the lower back and front shoulder area.

In this video we break down how we practice and teach plank pose. This will ensure that you practice safely and get stronger. Plank is actually a full body pose. Of course your shoulders work a lot in this one but the right alignment will activate your core and even your legs making this one of the best poses, especially if done repeatedly in your practice or held for a long time, to build real strength.
