Ideas for Lent and Easter from the chat:

Make 'dampers' and think about how the love of God enfolds us
I was going to get my groups to makes nests using twigs etc (and I have a 'job lot' of chicks to add! :-)
Make a palm cross from the leaves/reeds that are nearby. Paint a stone with Easter theme
Choosing a tree and decorating it throughout Holy Week - palm crosses, flower wreathes, etc
Painting stones is really popular - can paint pictures to do with Easter and then hide them round the area for people to find
Hearts too... really easy to form and tie from flexible twigs, or make own palm crosses using grasses
Making an Easter garden!
Making secret doors in tree trunks!
Have an outside prayer tree.
I am using the wood cookies with hearts on
People could make 'palm crosses' and 'hide' them for others find when out for their daily exercise
Stations of the cross outside somehow … ? Haven't thought this through!
Have drawn finger labyrinths on circles of wood
Some kind of 'scavenger hunt' on a Lent theme?
We've made dens and called it the HAPPY HOUSE. Children add to them and love them.
We hid natural and unnatural objects around and chatted about them and how some are God’s natural creations.  Then mad pictures from the natural ones.
A friend mowed a labyrinth into my front lawn... I may ask them to do it again especially for Lent!
Easter story by having different areas set up as a garden and looking for different things, then having crosses set up of the crucifixion and then a den as the tomb with stone in front and another with stone shape rolled away as resurrection.
