Hiking Mt Temple, Banff National Park

Mt Temple is 9th highest peak in Canadian Rockies, the highest peak in Lake Louise area. I would say that the view from the top was the most beautiful scenery that I had ever seen. I was so impressed that I bursted into tears.
Although it's very strenuous hike, 99% of the trail is class 1. The trail is not difficult to follow as marked with cairns and ribbons when it is not obvious. There is a short class 3 section, 5m (15ft) rock climbing which is not that difficult.

The summit of Mt Temple is not for the beginners as it could be too strenuous and intimidating for beginners. But anyone can easily hike up to Sentinel pass which is 00:30 in the video.
I highly recommend you do this hike no matter what level of experience you have as the view is amazing no matter where you decide to turn around.

If you are interested in hiking Mt Temple or Sentinel pass, I recommend that you start as early as possible not because it's a long hike but because there will be no parking space in Moraine lake trailhead if you arrive late in the morning. I think 7am is safe, but if you arrive 9am, you might not be allowed to drive to the trailhead, you will have to take the free shuttle instead.
We stayed 2 nights before and after this hike in Lake Louise campground which is very close to the trailhead. Make a reservation as earlier as possible if you are interested in as it's very popular and really nice campground with hot shower.

It's about 7 miles round trip with 2500 feet elevation gain up to Sentinel pass.
To the summit, it's 10 miles round trip with 5,500 feet elevation gain.
It took 12 hours for me to reach the summit and come back to the trailhead.
