We often think of stress and mental/emotional issues affecting the gut and digestion negatively, but we forget that the gut talks to the brain too🗣

Communication goes in both directions.

The presence and/or the overgrowth of bacteria, yeast, or parasites, including H pylori, will cause their toxins to be released in the gut❗️

And if your gut is leaky, these toxins will trigger inflammation causing symptoms all over your body.

You can have food sensitivities as a result of these microbes and the imbalance in beneficial bacteria. Food sensitivities can also cause cognitive and mental health issues.

If you’re dealing with brain fog, memory problems, anxiety, irritability, mood swings, depression or headaches, and you’re not getting better despite a healthy general diet and lifestyle, get serious about uncovering what’s going on in the gut.

A few years ago before COVID, I went to a conference on integrative approaches for mental health, and 80% of the topics were gut-related

It’s important to shift the conversation and acknowledge the effect of the gut and microbiome in overall health.

Save this. Share it with your doctor or therapist or counselor.
