Membrane Lipids - Glycerophospholipids and Sphingolipids

In this video I have explained overview of membrane lipids specially the glycerophospholipids and sphingolipids. While explaining the glycerophospholipids and sphingolipids I have explained briefly their general structure, composition, and degradation of glycerophospholipids and sphingolipids specially in the lysosomes by lysosomal hydrolases. Bothe glycerophospholipids and sphingolipids are membrane lipids and found in the cell membrane. As a part of membrane lipids these membrane lipids participate in variety of functions in the cell.
