Edit: A few of you have had issues with this hat coming out too big. I did about 5 of these before I did this video using the yarn in the video and ILTY by Hobby Lobby. They came out just fine. I believe it depends on the yarn being used. If you are finding this to be a problem as well, someone suggested using a 4 mm hook for the HDC rounds and a 5 mm hook for the rest of the hat. I tried this out with Caron one pound and a red heart acrylic medium worsted weight yarn and it came out perfect. I hope this helps.

Single crochet
Half double crochet
Double crochet

2 thin hair ties
Size I 5.5 mm hook
