How to crochet around a rock. Yarn bombing

I first tried yarn bombing a rock when my neighborhood started painting and hiding rocks. It's a huge thing here.  I don't paint. I crochet so I thought I would give it a try and everyone went crazy over my crocheted rocks. They all wanted to find my rocks lol
Then I found out some people would use them as decoration, others would use them as a paper weight, and even heard of some putting a clip on them and using them to hold down table clothes.
I've had a lot fun making up different rock bombing patterns and my kids have had fun hiding them. The possibilities are endless.
