No 5820 or Big Jim as it is affectionately known by the volunteers at the K&WVR was one of a batch of US Locos sent to Europe in 1945 to help with the post-war recovery.
It spent it's working life in Poland until it was eventually put aside for preservation.
In 1977 it was purchased by the K&WVR for restoration and after a couple of years it was ready to start work on the line.
Big Jim is now a much love addition to the fleet and stalwart member of the Motive Power Depot.
