This is the last, the ninth Brahmana of the third chapter. With this the third chapter concludes. In this part Shakalya is the last Brahmin to question Yagyavalkya. His questions are on the following:  Many gods and one Brahm, eight different persons and their corresponding deities , on the five directions of space and their deities and support.The chapter concludes with Yagyavalkya comparing man with a big tree.
