The science of pharmaceutical suspensions explained!

Suspensions are a very common dosage form for medicines and can be used for oral, topical and ophthalmic delivery. You might think they comprise simply drug particles in water, but of course in reality they are way more complicated! Here we look at how suspensions are formulated and what we are trying to achieve in terms of their properties. We look at (and explain!) Stoke's law and I'll try to help you understand suspensions by playing Tetris :)
