Mental disorders are conditions of the mind that influence one's emotions, thinking, and behaviour. Anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, bipolar disorders, substance use disorders, and impulse control disorders are all examples of these. However, most Malaysians do not consider mental illnesses to be serious health problems. Symptoms of common mental health issues such as sadness and worry, feelings of worthlessness, and difficulties in focus and decision-making affect 29% of Malaysians at any given moment.

Mental Health Awareness In The Workplace Training Program basically takes a four-pronged approach:
1. Introducing mental health issues and raising awareness about removing stigma, and the importance of mental health training.
2. Talking about poor mental health and how to manage it – particularly loneliness, stress, anxiety, and depression.
3. Recognizing the importance well-being toolkit that can be used to manage day-to-day mental health (how to manage mental health).
4. Offers many starting points for improving mental health, or simply maintaining good.
