Another day, another tunnel!

This time we visit Barnsdale Tunnel near Pontefract in West Yorkshire UK

This tunnel was built by the Hull & Barnsley Railway Company and opened to traffic on July 18th 1885 and was closed in April 1959

The tunnel s 1226 yards long.
