Long Tail Cast-On Method

This is a complete video on how to Cast-on using the long tail cast-on method.

Wood needles aren't as slick as metal needles. The stitches don't slip off so easily. If you're just learning how to knit I'd recommend plastic or wood needles to get started. Once you're comfortable with knitting and purling you can try metal needles, just keep in mind that stitches slide off easier.

I'm using Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick yarn with size 11 bamboo Double Pointed Needles.  I don't normally knit flat with DPN's, it's just easier to record the video using them because they're shorter than regular knitting needles and don't knit the table while I'm knitting. :)
