BOR stands for "beginning of
BOR stands for "beginning of the round" and it's used in circular knitting as a marker to let you know when you've knit one complete round. It marks your starting point.

The marker is usually an object that won't fall off your needles, like a little ring or a safety pin.
Whenever you reach the marker in your knitting, simply slip it off your left needle and onto the right. Then keep knitting as per your instructions.
