This is a collection of videos from around regional NSW Australia featuring NSW Trainlink Xplorer trains.
The NSW Trainlink Xplorer trains are Diesel Multiple units built by ABB in 1993 and currently provide train services to Moree, Armidale, Broken Hill, Canberra and Griffith.
They are capable of reaching speeds of upto 145kph. Each Xplorer train consists of a First class carriage with buffet and one or more economy class carriages. They can be configured in 2, 3 or 4 car units and coupled in pairs for joint running to a junction station e.g Werris Creek then split in two and travel to different destinations.
The Xplorer trains have recently had their 30th anniversary of service in October 2023. However the Xplorer trains along with the XPT trains were to be replaced in 2023 but that has been delayed until around 2027.
The footage used in this video was taken between 2016 and 2023.
