Molecular Chaperonin | HSP-60

The molecular chaperonins are biological assistants in protein folding mechanism. They provide an ideal environment for protein folding and correct bond formation. Also ensure that the native proteins are folded in aright way, reducing the chances of creating misfolded and toxic proteins in our system. For all these reasons, the chaperons are conserved proteins in most living systems.
