Badminton footwork exercises to improve your badminton - footwork is an essential part of the badminton game, and this video shows you how you can improve this from home!

The first part of this video looks at movement drills you can do at home. Using just two tennis balls you can improve your reactions and peripheral vision - both very important aspects of badminton.
If you don't have two tennis balls at home, skip to Part 2 where we go through 5 patterned movements you can do to help you improve the speed and efficiency of your badminton footwork in the mid and rear court. We agree that this isn’t the most ‘fun’ part of the game but it is helpful to enable you to get to the shuttle fast and be in a position to play good quality shots and control the rallies (which is fun!). Practicing footwork and movement off court will also help to condition our bodies so that we don’t fatigue quickly or become injured if we are not used to regularly doing these movements!
