Let me teach you how to avoid some rookie mistakes when applying a watercolor background.
In this video, I demonstrate the things that you need to avoid when applying a mottled background. We then look at what you need to change, so that you can create a soft-mottled background instead. One that would set off any wildlife painting perfectly. Sometimes it is knowing 'what not to do', that actually helps you remember what is good to do.
