I was feeling perhaps a little creative this week and just wanted to do something a different, and genuinely had a lot of fun making this Saigon Kick video. Also, if you’ve seen my “250 Subscribers” upload from some months ago, I did mention that I wanted to do different types of experimental videos—and today’s "On And On" upload is one such experiment. In truth, I would like to upload some kind of cover piece at least once a month (a fan video / lyrics video such as this one, a vocal/instrumental cover, or even both), as all things related to popularized music are very “searchable” in the YouTube engine and continue to accrue views steadily over time. As a fun fact, I did recently find a “fan art” video of the old song “Pump Up the Volume” that had gained only 4 views during its first 48 hours of upload, but that now has over a million views to its credit! As the kids used to say, “That’s what I’M talking about!”
I collected the footage here not necessarily for its “relatability” to the “Saigon Kick - On And On” music, but for only “emotional reasons”—if such a term can ever exist. Moreover, and despite this video’s production taking much longer than I had hoped (which is becoming an unfortunate routine for me), I didn’t go too overboard with special effects in this fan video for the sake of avoiding that gaudy look that inexperience often yields. Clearly I am no Rivkah Hannah.
