Hey guys! Unfortunately, the pts is in a pretty rough state right now. There are massive lag spikes that cause beams/other skills to not go off. This makes it difficult to test a variety of setups on an even playing field, let alone crit farm a decent parse. I had several parses that I estimate would've been in the mid 132s-133ish but had to restart after basically not being able to cast anything for a second or two which is really unfortunate. The parse shown in the video is a 131.5k, but i tacked the cmx for the 131.7k parse onto the end of the video. Rotation is exactly the same down to the skill.
133k was very achievable last patch at the top end with a 135k even put up by @AlduinESO last week. I was able to get parses in the 131-131.5k range about as frequently as 133-133.5k last patch. So, based on these results, I'm estimating that the pillar of nirn change reduced arcanist's ceiling by about 1.5-2k. I tried testing other setups such as coral/deadly, coral/depths, and coral/aegis....but unfortunately due to the overall pts performance (causing many more dummy resets then usual), results were pretty much all over the place. I was able to get the most consistent results with nirn, so I did most of my testing with coral/nirn. If you can get a little lucky with consistent aegis caller procs between beams, I figure it may have a tad bit higher ceiling then nirn. I look forward to doing testing on live when the patch drops in a couple weeks. At that time, we will get a much clearer picture on what the actual dps ceiling/meta setup is.

Arcanist has by far the easiest rotation of any class. Once you get it down, its pretty much just a static rotation each parse, making parsing on arcanist little more then a crit farm at the top end. Precast your cloak/scholarship and then throw scalding and run into melee range. Lay down your trap, drop ult, cast blockade and then flail into your first beam. From then out, just refresh your dots on cooldown between beams. Don't beam until you have three crux. If you are using ulti pots, your ult timing should perfectly line up with off balance procs. If you are using tri pots, just drop your ult on cooldown. In content, if you dont have off balance, then swap exploiter out for untamed aggression.
