In this video, I go through a second Smart LightRaise 60Wi that was sent in with another 60Wi. This unit had a weird issue where it would not start normally, would sometimes reset its settings to default out of nowhere. I traced the issue back to missing power that was being shut off by the TI DDP4200 Chip. That chip was also getting quite hot. While this board might be salvageable, it seems to have liquid or some chemical on it and I do not trust it anymore. It is destined to be scrapped for its good chips and then the PCB recycled. The mainboard was a little difficult to find. I ended up buying it from an eBay seller in Hungary. They shipped it quickly and packed it very well. Here is the first SLR60Wi with audio out problems: • Smart LightRaise 60Wi DLP Short Throw... *Originally I had a section of repairing screw towers from the other projector. It ended up being very long and worth it's own video on repairing plastic parts in projectors. Once edited/finished I will link it HERE. I also ended up swapping the tops before returning them so that the projector with the intact lower half was using the damaged upper cover while the good upper cover was installed to the damaged lower half of the first projector. This helped make both units adequate instead of one slightly unreliable. This also ensured the unit with the physical damage to the lower section performed within the specs of the good projector.
