Sim2 Domino 80 DLP Projector Repair | No Light | Power Supply Repair

This Sim2 Domino 80 was dropped off at my day job after the new replacement lamp acted the same way as the old lamp. When the owner would power it up, the projector would just flash the ignitor and no light would happen. It was also making an audibly ugly noise(for lack of a better term). The end result was 3 bad smaller 47uf @50v caps and then the main filter cap 100uf @450v. The main filter cap surprised me. I am not used to seeing them fail on Sim2 without going "baked potato". Thank you to Robinson @ Sim2 his tips. Once repaired the projector went back to its amazing picture quality and operation. For a 16+ year old low lumen projector, the image is just beautiful.
