UPDATE!!! The part you
UPDATE!!! The part you see me put on has already failed after a year and just over 22k miles. It is made by Suspensia from Rock Auto. I will have to do this again but with OEM this time.
This video shows the steps needed to replace a ball joint which is one piece with the lower control arm. The new part, in fact, had the ball joint welded in. as promised, here are the torques as found in my Hanes 2006-2020 Ford Fusion & Mercury Milan service/repair manual page 10-1:
Control arm 2013 and later models
122 ft-lbs Rear bushing bracket-to-stabilizer bracket bolts
159 ft-lbs Front pivot bolt-to-subframe
76 ft-lbs Balljoint-to-steering knuckle pinch bolt/nut
...and from page 10-3:
Tie-rod end-to-steering knuckle nut
111 ft-lbs 2013 and later models 111 ft-lbs
