Bodycam DUI Arrest - 18-Year-Old Woman Arrested for Her 2nd DUI While Her Dad Watches in Disbelief

In the early morning hours of January 29, 2023, Fond Du Lac city police requested the assistance of the Fond Du Lac County Sheriff's Office.   A disabled vehicle registered to a residence outside of the city limits had been abandoned in the middle of traffic lanes.   When Sgt. Metzger arrived at the residence, the brother of the 18 year-old female who abandoned the vehicle stated that they had just arrived home and the woman was waking up her father to help her retrieve the vehicle.   A conversation took place inside the residence, which was completely blacked out by the Sheriff's Office records department.  In essence, the 18 year-old admitted to drinking alcohol when the vehicle became disabled.  She called her brother to come and get her and as soon as they arrived home, the Sheriff's Department showed up.  Based on the totality of the circumstances, Sgt. Metzger asked the woman to perform standardized field sobriety tests (FSTs).   These occurred in the garage of the residence because of the snowy and frigid weather conditions.  As part of the FSTs, the woman submitted to a preliminary breath test (PBT) and the result was 0.12% BAC.   She was arrested for her 2nd DUI and transported to the local emergency room for a blood draw.  Her charges and the outcome of her case are discussed at the end of the video.
