Ah the dulcet tones of an orphaned baby flying-fox desperately trying to jump onto mum for a cuddle and a bottle.
Just like humans, baby bats have different voices and today's pair of screamers are very loud Ebony and little Gem with a voice that is ten times quieter.
It's not uncommon to see a wild mother bat attempting to escape from her baby with her offspring tenaciously hanging on to one of mum's poor stretching nipples which I'm convinced have no nerves.
This behaviour will continue for another couple of weeks until the orphans are moved into the flight aviary and realise that life does go on without constant contact with mum.
