IIT Madras- I & AR - Talk by Shri. Rajiv Khanna

Title: " My Entrepreneurial and Investment Journey " Abstract The talk will cover my professional experience in the field of explo​sives and pharmaceuticals. The talk will cover My entrepreneurial journey of setting up “Kwality Ice Creams” in Chennai and then setting up “Kwality Milk Foods Ltd”, a composite dairy in thebusiness of “Milk and Milk Products” The talk will also cover my experience in the field of stock market investments. Brief Bio of the Speaker : Mr. Rajiv Khanna did his B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT Madras (1968 batch). After a brief stint in Jagajit Industries, he joined ICI Ltd. as a management trainee. He carried out research in industrial explosives. After a few years, he moved on to the pharmaceutical division in Chennai where he was a part of the commissioning team for a bulk drug plant. He started “Kwality Ice Creams” in Chennai in 1980, which went on to become one of the best ice cream brands nationwide. It was sold to Hindustan Unilever in 1994. He then started “Kwality Milk Foods Ltd”, a company in the business of milk and milk products. The company manufactures liquid milk, ice creams, milkshakes, flavoured milk, paneer, butter, ghee and dairy whitener under the brand name “Sona”. Mr. Rajiv Khanna also started investing in the stock markets in 1998. He is a well known investor and was also featured in the Forbes magazine as a “Wealth Wizard”.
