Join us as we venture to the Skyway Fishing Pier State Park to catch mackerel, stay tuned to the end where we cook it up in the fryer. The key when using the speck jig is to allow it to sink all the way to the bottom and rapidly work it back to the surface with as little slack as possible. This will help prevent bite offs. For more hits, I recommend using 30lb leader but if you start getting broke off too much, increase it to 40 or even 50lb mono. Wire will limit strikes and is not recommended.
