Jet Ski the Rainbow River, Florida on a Yamaha WaveRunner FX Cruiser in "Winter"

The Rainbow River is1st magnitude
The Rainbow River is1st magnitude Spring just north of Dunnellon, Florida. The river is about 6 miles in length and you can ride about 5.7 of it on a jet ski before being stopped by the state park boundaries that do not allow motors.... 485 Millions gallons a water a day!
Not just a river for the summer!
The goal today was to ride the Rainbow River in December and capture some of its beauty and wildlife. While not technically winter for another 48 hours, it was close enough for Florida! A bit frosty in the morning gave way to a bright, sunny crisp morning.
This trip covered 16 miles and because I was running at slow speeds I only got 5.1 MPG and burned about 3 gallons. No extra gas is necessary for this trip.
The address for the boat ramp is: 12196 S Williams St, Dunnellon, FL 34432 and is called the Nort Florida Ave Boat ramp, right behind city offices near the bridge. (free)
If you wanted to put in farther towards the spring head you can use a boat ramp located at K.P. Hole Park , 9435 SW 190th Avenue Rd, Dunnellon, FL 34432. (small fee)
A lot of people ride the Withlacoochee first to get the Rainbow River and usually put in here, 4863 E Spruce Dr, Dunnellon, FL 34434 at the Spruce Boat Ramp (free)
