WEEK 4 - SUPERHERO POP ART WEEK: Making Smashing 3D Pop Art Superhero Signs

Welcome to MADEby Mini Makes for Kids
Looking for something fun to keep the kids entertained at home especially while this horrid Coronavirus is stopping us all going out?
Well look no further.
Hi, I’m Tamalia and I’m an Artist and qualified Teacher, who normally teaches regular art classes and workshops to children and adults in my studio in Reading. Sadly due to these unfortunate and testing times that we find ourselves in, we have all had to find new ways to adapt.
I absolutely love teaching Art and am really missing seeing all my lovely mini makers and adult makers alike. So…I decided why not bring some crafts to you, so that you can enjoy making at home with your family.
What is MADEby Mini Makes?
Join me every Saturday morning from 10am for a virtual mini Kids Art & Craft Club. Each week there is a different theme and I will post on social media the supplies you will need ahead of time so you can be prepared.
As well as the virtual art club new exciting art and craft activities, in line with the week’s theme, will be published on the MADEbyTamalia blog page, so you can have fun with some other mini makes throughout the week.
WEEK 4 - SUPERHERO POP ART WEEK
Here at MADEby HQ (at home lol), we have had our hearts warmed so much by the generosity of our nation in helping raise much needed donations for the NHS. One person in particular, Captain Tom, has raised a phenomenal amount of money walking his garden.
So this week’s video will be:
Smashing 3D Pop Art Superhero Signs – Inspired by the famous Pop Art Artist of the 1950s & 60s, in this week’s video we’ll be making onomatopoeic POP ART superhero signs ready for you to star in your very own comic strip or superhero action movie.

So if you don’t have what’s on the materials list then don’t worry - simply substitute it for something else. Plus we have simple DIY paint recipes on our website if you don't have any paint at home either.⠀
